Traditionally, measuring melt temperature in injection molding can be very time consuming, inaccurate, unsafe and expensive. Measuring a purge pile with a thermocouple requires a minimum of five ounces of material, cycle interruption, heating up the thermocouple and repeating the process a minimum of three times (total of fifteen  ounces) and taking the average temperature.

Measuring with the MTMS Kit can be done in under 1 minute!

Step 1.) Run the press to stabilize the process.

Step 2.) Put the press in manual mode.

Step 3.) Retract the barrel and insert the purge puck.

Step 4.) Bring the barrel forward and inject ONE shot.

Step 5.) Retract the barrel, remove probe/cup, and record the temperature.
